Mixed Media Sketchbook, Daisy Mixed Media Sketchbook, Personalized Sketchbook

mixed media sketchbook

I ordered a sketchbook online and it came with a little rip on the side so, I decided to do a mixed media project on it to cover the rip instead of returning it.
I was thinking of combining light tone colours and I glad I came up with this combination. I truly love how the shades of pink, purple & blue turned out.

I used cheesecloth as part of texture and it also covered the small rip along the spine. I used matte gel medium to glue the cheesecloth on the cover. I also added a cut out chip board oval frame in the middle.

I also added layers of white gesso, tim holtz distress paint, lindy stamp gang spray and viva inca gold paste. I also added a bark texture using a stencil and rangers texture paste.

I embellished it with polymer clay flowers, leaves and name plate.
I’m pretty proud of this book. It’s a perfect gift for someone special.
